A Plea For Your Help

Over the past ten years the the Motorcycle Tips & Techniques Safety Forum and I, as it's creator, have:

  • Created the Motorcycle Tips & Techniques site

  • Wrote and published nearly two hundred motorcycle safety articles

  • Created the Motorcycles Safety Forum

  • Provided gratis safety presentations to various motorcycle organizations

  • Published and distributed thousands of Group Riding Guidelines

  • Became an MSF Instructor and taught many classes

Though access to the forum is free, there are significant operating costs:

  • $10,000 (hardware, software, Telco, ISP, web hosting, printing, postage)

  • 1,000 hours of personal time (zero compensation)

Known results:

  • Reached 2,500,000 riders directly via my Internet site

  • Reached another 2,500,000 riders via publication of my articles on other sites

  • Distributed 2,000 Group Riding Guides

  • Caused changes to the MSF curriculum

  • Made 'safety' part of the mind-set of millions of riders

Probable results:

  • Assuming 1/10th of 1% of readers of my material avoided an accident because of what they learned -

5,000 deaths or serious injuries did not occur!

You may well be one of those 5,000 statistics that didn't happen. Your help is needed to spread the message of motorcycle safety.

Make no mistake, whether or not you contribute here I will continue the Safety forum and the Motorcycle Tips & Techniques site.  Funds raised in this drive will FIRST go to cover site operational expenses. Whatever remains will be applied to covering past expenses, and keeping the site current.

If you have gained from my writings and would like to help me out in return I would be most grateful.
